Cookie policy
No advertising cookies, and analytics cookies only if you accept them. Here is everything the site stores in your browser.
What the site stores
Converting a statement needs no cookie. The site uses no advertising services. Google Analytics, which counts which pages are visited, runs only if you press Accept in the cookie notice. Everything else below is strictly necessary for signing in, paying, and remembering your cookie choice.
| Name | What for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| __session | Set by Clerk, our sign-in provider, while you are signed in: a short-lived token that proves who you are to the site. | About a minute, renewed while you stay signed in. |
| __client_uat (and a variant with a suffix) | Set by Clerk on every visit: records only the time you last signed in or out (0 when signed out), so the site knows whether to look for a session. | Kept by your browser until cleared. |
| __client | Set by Clerk on its sign-in address (clerk.bankstatement-converter.com) to keep you signed in. Clerk may also set Cloudflare security cookies there. | Until you sign out or the session expires. |
| __clerk_environment, __clerk_protect_* (browser storage) | Kept by Clerk in your browser's local storage: its settings for this site, and data for its protection against automated sign-ups. | Until cleared. |
| bsc-cookie-notice (browser storage) | Remembers your answer to the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. | Until cleared. |
| _ga, _ga_6EF4TXKB49 | Set by Google Analytics, only after you accept: a random ID that tells repeat visits apart, so we can count visitors and see which pages are used. Google processes the data for us as a processor. | 13 months. |
| Stripe's cookies | Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout and billing pages, where Stripe sets its own cookies, for example to prevent fraud. They belong to Stripe's domain, not this site, and are described in Stripe's cookie policy. | Set by Stripe. |
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings at any time. Converting statements without an account keeps working if you do; signing in and paying need the cookies above.
Changed your mind about analytics? This removes the Google Analytics cookies and asks again.
